Device Type

Name of the device translation table to use for this print job model.

The device table specified must be compatible with the physical printing device to be used.

By convention print job model names start with P_. Print job models named P_XXXX (such as P_MSWINX) use enhanced printing features.

Commonly Used Device Translation Tables
Device Translation Table	Description
P_MSWINX	Uses the Microsoft print API to print through the print manager. Prints widgets with proportional fonts and with representation instead of value; respects widget properties. If selected, Print Queue must be set to `PRINTMAN`.
P_MSWIN3	Uses the Microsoft print API to print through print manager. Does not support widget printing. If selected, Print Queue must be set to `PRINTMAN`.
P_DEFAULT	Sends ASCII-only characters to printer. Line feed and form feed are the only control characters sent to the printer.
P_LASERJET2	Sends HP PCL control characters to printer.
P_X11	Sends extended Postscript commands to printer.
