Common Sentinel Error Codes
The following list provides more information about common Sentinel licensing error codes.
The error is returned in the Transcript Window (for interactive applications such as the IDE) and/or the application log file.

The specified License Manager host cannot be found.
This occurs when the wrong server URL is used in $license_options or if there is an internet issue. Check your DNS settings and the hosts file to resolve.
The License Manager on the specified host is not available for processing the license operation requests. This means that the RMS service is there, but not responding.
Restart the service and check that the server URL is correct in $license_options.
The License Manager on the specified host is not responding to the client request.
Check if the License Manger is up and running. Restart the service and check that the server URL is correct in $license_options.
The requested feature does not exist on the License Manager host.
To resolve this:
- Make sure the license file path or server URL is correct
- Make sure the license is still valid
- Make sure the user is entitled to this feature
The following scenarios may cause this error:
- In case of a network license, if the system clock of the License Manager host is tampered with.
- In case of a standalone license, if the system clock is tampered with.
- If the serial number information corresponding to the standalone system initialization, license string, and client library does not match.
To resolve this issue, run ulic /prep. For more information about how to do this, see Uniface License Management Utility (ulic).
The feature cannot run anymore because the license expiration date has been reached.
Make sure that your machine date and time zone are correct. If your license has expired, talk to your account manager
The feature cannot run as the total number of "days" allowed in the grace period have been consumed.
Your grace period has expired and you need to connect to the RMS License Manager.
The feature cannot run as the total number of "hours" allowed in the grace period have been consumed.
Your grace period has expired and you need to connect to the RMS License Manager.
