$ZIP_KEEPOPEN
Instructs the Uniface Server to keep every UAR or ZIP archive that it reads open until the Uniface Server itself shuts down. Applicable only in deployment environments.
$ZIP_KEEPOPEN
Description
This setting can only be used in deployment environments, and only with Uniface Servers that never write to a UAR or ZIP files.
Do not use $ZIP_KEEPOPEN in a development environment or in an environment where the Uniface Server writes to UAR or ZIP files. If $ZIP_KEEPOPEN is used in a development environment, errors may occur in the IDE because target UARs are locked by a Uniface Server.
$ZIP_KEEPOPEN makes it faster to access remote resources. You can improve performance further by setting $MEMORY ZIP=all, which maps archives into memory. For more information, see $MEMORY .
